Become a member

EUYT unites yoga teachers and yoga therapists who are aware of the high responsibility of their profession and who meet at least the minimum standards of EUYT and comply with the requirements of continuous quality management and study.

 

There are 3 types of membership:

  • Honorary members
  • Full members
  • Supporting members

 

Honorary member may be, who has rendered outstanding services in the promotion of Yoga and Yoga Therapy. They are appointed by the board as an honorary member.

 

Full member can be:

  • Anyone who can dorument relevant qualifications from some other school or institution that has reached the qualification standards of EUYT
  • Anyone who has passed an examination before the examination board of EUYT

 

Supporting members:

Anyone wishing to promote and support yoga according to the guidelines of the EUYT funding and ideas, especially those who are in training as a yoga teacher or in the degree program yogatherapy at ECYT.

 

The application for membership can take place any time in writing and requires the signature of the ethical, legal and professional guidelines.

Acceptance is decided upon by the board; a right to membership does not exist. The application may be rejected without statement of grounds.

Rights and obligations of members

Members are entitled,

  • to participate in general meetings and exercise their right to vote and thus to take part in forming content and format of the union
  • to run for office for the union
  • participate in professional events and working groups of the union
  • to profit from the various service offerings of EUYT for its members.

 

Members agree,

  • to support the objectives of EUYT in an active manner
  • to comply with the ethical, legal and professional guidelines of EUYT implementing them in daily life
  • to continue in further education in Yoga / Yoga therapy at ECYT or EUYT (min. 44 Hours / 60 UE per year)
  • to pay the annual membership fee

 

 

Membership fee

The current membership fee is € 90.00 per annum.

Upon entry into the union, the total annual amount is due, regardless of the time of entry.

The membership fee is determined by the General Assembly.

 

 

Cancel membership

  • Membership may be canceled by each member in writing to the board and with a notice period of three months to the end of the calendar year.
  • A cancellation of membership is possible at the earliest after 18 months of recording.
  • Membership can be terminated by the board if the member is not complying with its obligations
